Hi Sylvia,
I thought you might like to hear a success story about the Bellicon bungee Rebounder. I had already purchased 3 other Rebounders in the past because I thought Rebounding would be a good exercise for my daughter who was overweight. However, every one of them broke. It was frustrating and costly to keep replacing the springs so I investigated further. There had to be something better.
I came across the Bellicon Rebounder. I liked the fact that with the bungee bands the "bounce" would be smooth. I purchased a Rebounder from you in July of 2007. My daughter had just turned 16 at the time and she weighed about 190 pounds and was 5'6" tall. She had been gaining weight throughout the school year and only wore large sweatshirts to cover herself. I know her self esteem was very low.
She has never had an interest in any sports. Schoolwork was her life. Her grades were excellent but I don't think she liked herself very much. In July, she started Rebounding with the Bellicon approximately a half an hour to an hour a day. She had her iPod in her ear and was definitely somewhere else. She kept this up all summer long, every day. Then school started again. Her junior year was very stressful. She would come home from school and immediately get on the Rebounder. By Christmas, she had lost about 40 pounds.
I can't tell you her diet changed in any way. She did nothing different except adding the Rebounder to her life. I also noticed if the stress got to be too much she would go bounce on the Rebounder.
Even now, almost a year later, nothing has changed. She has maintained her new weight and continues to use the Rebounder as a stress reliever in between studying. Her self esteem has improved greatly and I notice a big difference in her willingness to go places. She now has a major interest in clothes and she has purchased some lovely fitted outfits. She never wears anything baggy anymore. I really believe the Bellicon has changed her life. At that age (or any age for that matter) it means a lot to feel good about yourself.
By losing the weight and increasing her exercising she is much healthier. Our Bellicon has been a blessing.
