Mini trampoline - Rebounder exercises (Rebounding) and Health

What Rebounding can do for you

NASA was already fond of this form of exercise in the 80's and did some scientific studies that proofed the high efficiency of this exercise.

A rebounder, Trampoline and a mini trampoline are not the same! Rebounder exercise  is much safer then a workout on a trampoline. It can be done by nearly everybody. It's fun, effective and no extra time is needed.

Of course,  the better the exercise Rebounder, the better the result. Find out how to recognize a quality Rebounder. QiBounding  thrives in giving you non biased cutting edge information and helps you in finding the perfect Rebounder for your health and fitness goals.

The 60 second video below, an absolute MUST, if you want to see how easy it is to bounce on bungee band Rebounders:

Rebounding is for every BODY

It seems as if every form of exercise has its benefits… and its drawbacks. If it’s exciting, it’s high-risk. If it’s safe it’s not cardiovascular. If it targets one problem area it neglects seventeen others. Maybe there’s one sport that would be absolutely perfect…if it weren’t for your trick knee, bad back or sensitive ankle. Plus, there are just so many questions. Is Yoga or Pilates better for core strength? Is running unsafe if you’re overweight – even if you’re in good health? Does swimming qualify as load-bearing?

There is one simple alternative which takes into account all of these questions- Rebounding. Rebounding is a revolutionary form of exercise recognized by NASA as one of the most efficient form of physical activity.

Use of a Rebounder (often thought of as a “mini-trampoline”) offers the body tremendous benefits; strengthening and supporting virtually every major system of the body. Additionally, Rebounding and its newest evolution called “QiBounding” focuses on the mind-body connection, encouraging conscious breathing and joy. Finally, rebounding is gentle enough that virtually anyone can do it – while receiving great benefits - even a trained athlete will feel and appreciate the benefits.

The original Rebounder has been invented in the US in the 70th. At that time only spring based Rebounders existed, like the ReboundAir, the Urban Rebounder or the Needak. Today there are more sophisticated Rebounders on the market, which are no longer based on springs but on high elastic bungee bands. The highest quality at the moment offers the company Bellicon.

How can Rebounding help you? Well, first and foremost, Rebounding provides an aerobic workout which tones the cardiovascular system. But, unlike other forms of aerobics, it doesn’t stop there. The gentle bouncing motion of Rebounding actually stimulates the circulation of lymphatic fluid, the body’s waste disposal mechanism, providing direct support to your immune system.

Moreover, the unique surface of the Rebounder itself encourages greater proprioception, which increases balance, improves coordination, and even promotes better vision.

People who use Rebounders regularly have reported a variety of other health benefits, including reduction of pain, increase in energy, and improvements in mental performance.

NASA astronauts have been rebounding for years, and found this simple – but extremely effective – form of movement actually strengthens every cell in the body through increasing the G-force load the cells carry.

Rebounding offers so many benefits, it’s hard to imagine any improvement. But QiBounding offers the practitioner even greater benefits than Rebounding through its incorporation of breath awareness and focus on the circulation of Qi energy.

Qi is the internal energy which is present in all living beings. Long recognized by practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine as the essence of joy, vitality, and longevity, a healthy, unblocked Qi promotes well being and peace. However, stagnation of the Qi is thought, by many holistic health care practitioners, to lead to infirmity and disease.

So Rebounding is great for your spirit and great for your body. But is it great for everyBODY?

Virtually everyone who isn’t suffering from an acute injury can benefit from Rebounding. In fact, Rebounding is particularly helpful for people with a variety of chronic problems – gentle bouncing helps create space between the disks of the vertebrae, lubricate painful joints, increases bone density and improve the structure of the feet.

Children love the joyful sensation of soaring, while elderly individual or users whose balance is impaired may prefer to bounce with special holding bars. But almost everyone can reap the benefit of Rebounding safely and effectively.

Testimonial of the Week

To me the beauty of rebounding is that it’s so instinctively effortless. I wake up in the morning in a sleepy state, head over to my rebounder and 40 minutes later I’m as awake and energized as if I’d had a coffee.

It’s been 7 or 8 weeks now, and I have firm thighs, a higher butt and completely flat stomach – not a single sit-up required! My skin looks firm and I have better posture – and more mobility in my hips. I even find I am walking differently - with a freer swing to my hips. I love that I’ve achieved this with very minimal effort – basically I just jump about and dance to music! Occasionally I will hold light hand weights. Twelve years ago, I did pilates – but it was expensive and time consuming – I had to book special appointments, travel to the studio and concentrate very intently on performing the exercises. I loved pilates, but it didn’t fit so well into my lifestyle after I had children.

I didn’t feel I’d ever find an exercise I liked so much which would give me a great body shape, reduce my stress, and invigorate me without leaving me feeling so exhausted and drained that I’d have no energy left for the rest of my day.
I was wrong – rebounding has proven to be a fantastic substitute. Aside from walking, there has never been an exercise I have wanted to do every single day. Rebounding makes me feel so great to be alive! Emma C. Australia
