There are basically 3 categories of Rebounders on the North American Market:

1.  Low cost Rebounders which you usually find in sporting good stores. We don't test them here as we know that they are not good for your health.

2. Quality Rebounders        (under 5 stars)

3. Top quality Rebounders (5 and 6 stars)

 

We tested the following Rebounders (alphabetical order): Athletic Rebounder, Bellicon 39, Bellicon 44, Cellerciser,  Dynamic Rebounder, Lympholine, Needak Softbounce, ReboundAir and Urban Rebounder- which you can  all try out at our Center of Healthy Movement  - if you happen to be in the East Bay of California.

Is the Mat a Permatron mat?


(Permatron is the best  Rebounder mat

actually on the market)

 

Permatron is 100% polypropylene, an industrial
fabric made by Baycor Corp. It is specifically
engineered for Rebounders and trampolines.
It is flexible, but does not stretch over time as
some mats will. It provides a firm and stable
surface, yet it's supple enough to cushion joints.
It always returns to it’s original flat condition.
It resists weather conditions such as
precipitation and sunlight so you can take your
Rebounder outdoors.

Good, steady quality Rebounder.

Downside:

The triple tear springs don't give the high quality bounce that we had expected. This Rebounder is also one of the noisier models and due to its folding legs,  there is a slight horizontal movement when bouncing. Compared to the Bellicon Dynamic,  the lower quality of the springs and the fact that the legs are not 100% stable, make the Cellerciser the less attractive model.

High quality Rebounder. Great  feature to integrate springs in the legs to allow a high quality bounce.

 Downside: Extremely heavy, bulky and quite loud.

Good quality medium cost Rebounder.

Downside: Pretty hard bounce and quite loud.
